The Camera Club of Central New England is comprised of a group of people of all ages and photographic abilities, who come together
on a regular basis to share their interest, or passion in the photographic arts. Each of our members is unique and special. Each is
making a contribution to the group. Together we create a whole called The Camera Club of Central New England. Our members all share
a passionate interest in photography - traditional or digital.
Our activities consist of a monthly competition of slides and prints,
workshops, field trips, member shows, guest speakers, and the annual banquet.
Our field trips are likely to take us almost anywhere
in New England from Boston to Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. On past field trips we have photographed covered bridges,
lighthouses, fall foliage, winter scenes, sap gathering, the Boston skyline, the Lenny Zakim Bridge, Acorn Street on Beacon Hill,
Cape Cod, Tower Hill Botanic Gardens, The Butterfly Place, and many, many others too numerous to mention. The field trips are where
you really get to know the other members. The camaraderie is great and there is always a stop for lunch or dinner at a local restaurant
before returning home.
We meet on the second and fourth Thursday of the month from September through May at the Unitarian Universalist
First Church at 15 West Street, Leominster, Mass. Click on the "How to Find Us" link for directions to our meeting place. Annual dues
are $35 per person, $50 per couple, or $15 if you join in mid-season. Paid-up membership is required for entering photos into the
competitions.
Our monthly slide competition consists of digital slides in three categories: Pictorial, Nature, and Assigned Subject.
The print competition consists of: black & white, and color prints. Note: We have eliminated film slides from our competitions
and have switched completely to digital. Prints, however, may be made from either film or digital files. Film slides can be scanned
for competing in the digital slide portion of the competition.
